Ugly Tears

She says she wants it all from me,
I get the feeling she’d want me to part the sea,
I’m never free.

And if she don’t get what she like,
I may as well put my head on a spike,
or on a pike.

And it’s all the same to me,
I forever bend a knee,
in misery.

Go home and cry your ugly tears,
another night to face your fears.
Go and cry your ugly tears,
no doubt I’ll get a call (I miss you babe)
as you sulk inside four walls (I need you now)
and I let out a sigh (let’s talk this out)
I neck my pint and make my way back home.

After we go for a meal,
she looks at me and says who’s this pretty guy?
This pretty guy.

And even though it bothers me,
she shouts it loudly as if I’m a little prize,
a little prize.

Am I just being a bore,
I don’t know any more,
am I misery?

Go home and cry your ugly tears,
another night to face your fears.
Go and cry your ugly tears,
no doubt I’ll get a call (I miss you babe)
as you sulk inside four walls (I need you now)
and I let out a sigh (let’s talk this out)
I neck my pint and make my way back home.

I never wanna be free x6

She may not be the best for me,
but we make it work, I feel it’s a love worth trying.
All lovers fight and fall out, it’s a part of a cycle,
should it be a love left dying?
She is the day to my night, a ray of sunshine to pierce the dark,
though I feel I’m always finding a box of matches to reignite the spark.

Those ugly tears,
those ugly tears,
those ugly tears,
are mine.

I never wanna be free x9
